There are not enough people, let alone realtors, in the world like Nancy. During the months (months!) that we worked together, she was the consummate professional, while still being warm, genuine, and exceedingly helpful.We were living in California when we started house shopping for our first home. We had found another realtor to start, but quickly discovered that she wasn't willing to be very helpful considering our long-distance needs. As we scoured reviews for someone else, we actually sent out a lot of requests and Nancy (thankfully!) was one of the few who responded. This set the tone for her quick, responsive communication throughout. Our budget wasn't huge, but Nancy never made us feel like that was an issue. She was honest about the challenges at our price point but always optimistic. She'd send us houses she thought would work for us and was exceedingly gracious when we would ask about specific homes we'd seen on Zillow or elsewhere. Our first try was a short sale. Nancy helped us every step of the way from providing excellent recommendations for other needed professionals to supporting communication with those folks. She responded to calls, emails, and texts quickly and when the deal finally fell through (due to the bank dragging it's feet), she was ready with more houses. We ultimately found a perfect house for us, and Nancy was instrumental in that. She had checked it out ahead of time for us and told us we needed to make the trip to see it in person. She helped us move quickly on making the offer. When closing was delayed due to the Township inspections, she was right there helping us to coordinate where to store our stuff. Even with the various challenges we faced (not uncommon when it comes to buying a house!), we felt Nancy was always there for us. She listened to our needs, responded quickly, and made us feel like we had a true friend as a part of this process. From the first house to even after closing she was looking out for us. I can not say enough amazing things about our experience with Nancy. She's a gem and when we are ready to buy our next house, there is no one I will work with but her.

Nancy was recommended to us by a friend who is retired from real estate, as a great Realtor, who is super nice and a smart person! She lived up that recommendation and more. She acted as our agent for buying a new house and selling our old one. As a buyer's agent she made appropriate recommendations for houses to view, made prompt arrangements for us to view houses, was always available to show us around, and was very helpful in completing the buying process when we found the house we wanted.As our agent for the sale, Nancy worked with us to ensure the house was ready to show and staged to attract the likely buyers. She created a beautifully written listing with great photographs, and was supportive as we awaited offers, dealt with the buyer's concerns and closed the sale.She is highly responsive without being "pushy" and her knowledge of the area is impressive. She is a great resource for both buyers and sellers.

My pregnant wife and I were looking to buy our first home. A friend recommended Nancy Shaheen as a real estate agent. Nancy was fantastic. She helped us search for a home throughout my wife's pregnancy and after our son was born. She was very friendly, professional, and knowledgable about many of the towns in which we were looking for a home. She even took us to areas that we were interested in that were outside of her normal territory. If she didn't already know about the area from past experience, she would research it before we met and would bring information for us to get better acquainted with the area. She was very efficient. She would map out the best route to see all of the homes we were interested in so that no time was wasted. She was very flexible with timing too. If she knew it was just me that would be coming to view houses, she would fit more viewings into a shorter period of time. But she gave enough time to get acquainted with the homes and their neighborhoods. If it was both my wife and I with the baby (and other family members), she knew to plan for more time in between viewings. We had a long list of requirements for our home. Nancy worked within these confines and also challenged them occasionally if she found a home that had most of our requirements but not all. Together, we probably saw over 150 homes. When my wife and I were discouraged because we weren't finding exactly what we wanted, Nancy was still determined to get us into a home. She was persistent and we ended up finding a beautiful home that we are so happy with. It meets almost 100% of our checklist. To this day, we are pinching ourselves in disbelief that we have such a nice home!Beyond being a great real estate agent, Nancy is also a really nice and helpful person. She stopped by to check in on us after we settled into the home and gave us great housewarming and baby gifts. She has helped out in our search for daycare, plumbers, contractors and more. She is a great person to know in the area and we plan to keep in touch.Thanks for everything Nancy,Chris and Fanta
